What citizen science projects accomplish and who participates in them has everything to do with how they are designed. Though the Citizen Science Summer Experience, we will have each investigated our own experience as a citizen scientist, noting how our personal motivation and participation are influenced by program elements. This panel will feature program designers in conversation with citizen scientists about project design for science outcomes and participant experience.
